Chameleon Sniper
Mission briefing
Chameleon Sniper is a 3D sniper game where you turn a tiny island floating in the ocean and take down enemies hiding in plain sight. Every enemy is painted exactly the color of the wall, roof or rock it clings to, so color won't give them away. Only their shape will: spot the odd bump, zoom in and take the shot. Each level is a new bright island, from a giant Rubik's cube and a golden trophy to a mushroom, a volcano and even the Moon. Play a new Daily Mission every day with giants, tiny targets or a race against the clock, take on harder Special Ops with no bonuses and smaller targets, and catch pop-up targets and parachutists in the Bonus Level. When the campaign is over, new levels keep coming. Earn coins for every hit, headshot and leftover bullet. Upgrade Bullets for more shots and Size to make enemies bigger and easier to find. Use four bonuses when you're stuck: Mark, Beams, Recolor and Night Vision. Collect stars to fill the reward bar with new scopes and rifles, unlock rifle skins in the Shop and climb the Sniper Rank.
Field manual
Somewhere on the island, enemies are hiding, painted to match the surface they're stuck to. Turn the island, scan every wall, roof and rock, zoom in with your scope and take them all down. Any hit is enough. If you run out of bullets or time, the level is lost. Miss once at most to earn 3 stars. Tips: - Look for shapes, not colors: a head or an arm sticking out of a flat wall, a bump on a roof or a rock. Turn the island to check the far side too. - Headshots and leftover bullets pay extra coins, so take your time and aim for the head. - Can't find the last one? Recolor paints every enemy a bright new color, Night Vision turns everything else green, Beams shows where they all are, and Mark puts a big red crosshair on one. - Not enough bullets to clear the island? Upgrade Bullets, and upgrade Size to make enemies easier to spot and hit. Controls: Mouse and keyboard: - Look around: move the mouse - Turn the island: A / D (or arrow keys) - Aim and shoot: right mouse button (or Space) to zoom, move the mouse to aim, left click to shoot Touch: - Look around: drag on the screen - Turn the island: hold the arrows - Aim and shoot: hold AIM, slide to aim, let go to shoot
Launch orders: press Launch mission above and the game loads on this page itself — nothing downloads and no form stands between you and the first move. It is designed for a flexible screen and takes its orders from mouse, keyboard or touch, depending on the mission. It adapts to both upright and wide screens, so phones, tablets and desktops all frame it sensibly. If it offers a fullscreen control, use it — a fight this size deserves the whole screen.
Field notes for shooting operations
- Short bursts beat long ones. Recoil, spread and plain panic all grow the longer you hold the trigger; three controlled shots land where one long spray writes poetry on the wall behind your target.
- Reload behind something. The reload animation is the most dangerous second in any shooter — spend it behind cover, mid-jump, or not at all if the magazine still has work in it.
- Sound is intelligence. Footsteps, reload clicks and distant fire tell you where the fight is before the screen does; play with the volume up and treat every noise as a map marker.
Chameleon Sniper — questions from the ranks
What does it cost to play Chameleon Sniper?
Nothing at all. The mission is free from the first order to the last — no sign-up, no download, no paid tier guarding the good levels. The advertising around this page is what keeps the board free.
What sort of mission is Chameleon Sniper?
Chameleon Sniper is filed in our Shooting theatre. Like every operation on this board, it is a browser game — read the briefing above for the publisher's own account of what you are deploying into.
Can I run Chameleon Sniper on a phone or tablet?
Yes. It plays in the browser on phones and tablets exactly as it does on a computer. It adapts to both upright and wide screens, so phones, tablets and desktops all frame it sensibly.
Do I have to install anything before playing?
No installation of any kind. Chameleon Sniper is an HTML5 game: press the launch button and it loads on this page, and closing the tab leaves nothing behind.
