The Shooting Theatre
Two hundred and thirty-one shooting operations hold this theatre, and they divide along a line older than the genre itself: games where you are the gun, and games where you command it. The first family is the galleries, arenas and first-person firefights — Hazmob FPS and RIVALS FPS run live multiplayer matches, while the ragdoll sandboxes treat marksmanship as slapstick physics with a trigger. The second family works at one remove: sniper operations where a single patient shot is the whole level, tower shooters where placement outranks aim, and chases like Road Chase where the driving and the shooting share one nervous system.
How to choose? Start with the question of company. Shooting against people is a conversation — fast, rude and never repeated exactly — so the multiplayer files at the front of this theatre are where the loudest evenings live. Shooting against the game itself is a craft exercise instead: patterns to learn, positions to memorise, scores to shave. Neither is the warmup for the other. They are different sports sharing a trigger, and this shelf holds both, in roster order, with the strongest files first.
This theatre currently fields 231 shooting operations, posted in roster order — strongest files first.
