Monster Rush: Evolution
Mission briefing
Start as a small monster on a kingdom island and grow by eating everything smaller than you: peasants, trees, rocks, houses and squads of knights. Rival monsters roam the same island — catch the smaller ones and keep away from the bigger ones. When time runs out, the largest monster on the island wins. Each time you grow, the action slows down and you choose one of three mutations. Shape a Predator, a Glutton or a Titan: 18 mutations in three branches, plus a golden apex mutation for every branch you commit to. Two rounds rarely play the same way. Collect DNA to evolve into new forms — GROKK, SKARRA, FROSTFANG and IGNIS — each with its own ability: slam, dash, roar or fire breath. Explore the kingdom map: 4 regions with 10 islands each. Every island has its own goal and three stars to earn. Stars open new regions, codex entries and star chests, and round modifiers like night, meteors or a gold rush keep every visit fresh. Features: - Arena action: eat what is smaller, avoid what is bigger, finish as the largest monster - Mutation draft: 18 mutations in 3 branches (Predator, Glutton, Titan) + 3 golden apex mutations - 4 monster forms with their own abilities: slam, dash, roar, fire breath - Kingdom map: 4 regions, 40 islands with 3 stars each, then endless islands - 6 island goals: Be the King, Siege, Feast, Hunt, Survive, Boss battle - Round modifiers that change the rules: night, meteors, gold rush, stampede and more - Castles with boulder-throwing towers and a boss monster at the end of each region - Mutation codex unlocked with stars, star chests, 20 skins, daily gift, quests and achievements
Field manual
Drag anywhere on the screen (or use WASD / arrow keys) to move. Eat anything whose number is smaller than yours. Tap the ability button or press Space to use your form's ability. When a mutation draft appears, tap a card (or press 1–3).
Launch orders: press Launch mission above and the game loads on this page itself — nothing downloads and no form stands between you and the first move. It is designed for a flexible screen and takes its orders from mouse, keyboard or touch, depending on the mission. It adapts to both upright and wide screens, so phones, tablets and desktops all frame it sensibly. If it offers a fullscreen control, use it — a fight this size deserves the whole screen.
Field notes for .io arena operations
- Eat at the edges. The centre of an .io arena is where the giants feed; the rim is where small players grow fat on leftovers nobody bothers to chase.
- Never chase a smaller player in a straight line for long. Every second of pursuit is a second the whole arena can see, and something bigger is always watching the chase instead of the chased.
- Use your size as a rumour, not a shield. The moment you make the leaderboard, you become content for everyone's evening — spend big size on safety, position and patience.
Monster Rush: Evolution — questions from the ranks
What does it cost to play Monster Rush: Evolution?
Nothing at all. The mission is free from the first order to the last — no sign-up, no download, no paid tier guarding the good levels. The advertising around this page is what keeps the board free.
What sort of mission is Monster Rush: Evolution?
Monster Rush: Evolution is filed in our .io Arena theatre. Like every operation on this board, it is a browser game — read the briefing above for the publisher's own account of what you are deploying into.
Can I run Monster Rush: Evolution on a phone or tablet?
Yes. It plays in the browser on phones and tablets exactly as it does on a computer. It adapts to both upright and wide screens, so phones, tablets and desktops all frame it sensibly.
Do I have to install anything before playing?
No installation of any kind. Monster Rush: Evolution is an HTML5 game: press the launch button and it loads on this page, and closing the tab leaves nothing behind.
